There's a Bathroom on the Right

So, how many of you mangle lyrics to popular songs? I know I do. Frequently. Turns out I'm not the only one. There's a website entitled Kiss This Guy that celebrates all our misinterpretations. Brien and I have spent the evening searching out songs, in particular, CCR songs--There's a bad moon on the rise--and it would seem they are cause for many offenses. Check it out and let me know what you think. =)

Oh, I see what you mean. LOL. I punched in a country tune and got this:

John Denver: "Country Roads"
The real lyrics were:

West Virginia,
Mountain Momma,

But I misheard them as:
West Virginia,
Mount yer Momma

...........oh dear! :}

Oh, Bonita, that takes that whole West Virginia sterotype to a whole new level! LOL

Jess, Brien brought it home. I have NO idea where he found it. Isn't it fantastic??

Well, here's a true confession. I'll use asterisks to keep it clean. When I was young, I fell in love with ABB's Live at the Filmore East album; it's still one of my favorites to this day. The second song, "I Must a did Somebody Wrong", has the opening line, "The bell has tolled." I couldn't make out what the words and though I knew these weren't the real words, it sure SOUNDED LIKE "The bare a**hole." It was Paul who finally told me what the lyrics were. :-)
