I'm always amazed at how LOUD water can be.

Here creeks are very serene and sedate, meandering their way hither and yon until they reach the mouth of a river or the ocean. In the mountains, they are skinny, LOUD and brash as they tumble and fight their way to the bottom. I prefer my creeks this way and was, quite frankly, stunned when I first encountered the creeks here.
And, now I'm completely homesick and want to go home.
