(This is an actual photo of a puppy born with a heart in his fur. Hannah saw this and laughed while proclaiming it SO cute! Lissie just sent it to me again today and I HAD to post it!)I have so much to write about today but Lily needs to get to bed and the Hokies will be playing shortly. I'll make it brief and say I had a wonderful day! :o) Sparklies galore and more milestones passed. I'll post pictures and longer details tomorrow. Have a great night everyone and GO HOKIES!!!
Edited: Well, it was ugly and we were horribly embarrassed the first quarter. I think we have one heck of a backup QB who needs to be moved to starter as he has more confidence than Glennon and the whole team feels it. We played much better once Taylor was in, but it was still very humiliating. Crud. While I'm horrible embarrassed and distraught, the other side of me is sitting in wonder, thinking, "It's only a game. What does this really mean in the scheme of things??" My two sides find it very hard to reconcile. :oP

AWWWW I just love that pic!!! How cute! Hope you have a great evening.
That puppy is adorable.
Yea! Glad you had a great day - I haven't commented in a while, but I am here every day and thinking of you always
I thought about you when I saw they were playing tonight!
Unbelievable! How sweet is that?
Every puppy should have heart fur. :)
I've been catching up reading here, and so glad to have done so. May the good days and good memories continue.
Days like today try the soul of a true fan. It happens to all of us sooner or later, so believe me, I understand your pain.
All that being said, I think VT stumbled across an LSU team that’s clearly the best football team in the country…and they did so inside the most inhospitable stadium of all. They can still rebound this year, but it will depend greatly upon the character of their players. They’re a very young team, so no matter what, you can always look forward to next year!
On the bright side, at least the Hokies aren’t on NCAA probation (trust me - it sucks).
It's so good to read that you've had a great day! Can't wait to hear the details. I hope you at least had fun watching the game! Hugs!
What, you mean you weren't cheering on the USA vs England in the Rugby World Cup????? (For shame!) The USA put in a wonderful performance (marred only by the spear tackle in the dying embers of the game---not that that's anything to be concerned about because, as we all know, nobody ever gets hurt in rugby;).
BTW, you could colour a heart-shape into Holly's fur, but she would still be Holly... :-\
awww.. cute pup!
More*~~sparklies~~* for you!!
What a sweet little pup. She is simply adorable. Have a great week, Rach...
Rach,
While it won't bring you any comfort about the rout the Hokies suffered, I am going to repeat one of my favorite quotes. It if from the movie, "Hoosiers", and can apply to most any situation: "The sun don't shine on the same dog's ass every day." Sometimes we win and sometimes we don't. The highs of winning help us through the times when we don't.
As you know, ECU finally won against Carolina (here at home) for the first time in about 36 years. ECU's fans are not known for being genteel ;-) and they immediately tore down the goal posts. I'll bet they tore up the entire downtown last night. I'll see the remnants of it when I go into work tomorrow.
Love,
Mom
I love that pic! Have a great weekend!
After everything the Hokies have been through this year, I think it's hard not wanting them to win every game....to me anyway, I've never been such a Hokies fan but after the tragedy that happened there I find my self rooting for them!
I loved those puppy pictures when I saw them.
Thanks for the what-is on the skink. Like I said I have never seen one ever, EWWWWWWW lol.
You are a true Hokie! :)
