Sluggy Kind of Day

The title really says it all. It's been sluggy. There are things that should have been done that weren't. Instead I did things I wanted to do. :o) I read "The Windflower" and played with Lily and Brien. I enjoyed my family. What is more important than that? The dust and grime aren't going anywhere, but time is passing and Lily is changing and well, she's far more interesting than dust. ;o)

I hope you all had a nice day off.

Thank you to all our service members. I remember. Thank you.

If you haven't yet tried the wild cherry M&M's, you really should! :o)

Oh certainly a holiday is meant to be spent with your family and relaxing. Does not make you sluggish, its why its called a HOLIDAY.

The chores wouldnt have gotten done if you were at work?

Family is the way to go with holidays. Glad you chose that way.

Good for you that you did what you should have done today. You are correct- the dust and grime will still be there later. (Trust me, I know- I have waited for days and it never goes away!!)

Thought about you so often this weekend, and hoped you were getting some rest and having a good time! We had a nice holiday at my parents' house up in the mountains -- 3 mile hikes, bike rides, hanging out (George Eliot's Middlemarch for me, been meaning to re-read it for a couple of years and finally picked it back up). I'm cracking up at Lily's sleeping with no diaper and attempting to clean up her bed with wipes... classic.

Wild Cherry M&Ms? I'm all over that one! The pics of the Bright Lights chard, too... I just think you and I are clearly sisters separated at birth. Such similar tastes and sensibilities!

Hugs!

I'm so glad that you had a wonderful day with your family. I thought of you yesterday. We went to the lake for the first time since last summer. My husband knew what was on my mind and told me that everything would be ok. I wouldn't let the kids (7&3) out of arms reach from me. I tend to hover if I'm nervous. Have a great week. And yes the dust doesn't go anywhere, trust me on that one!

Hi Rach,

My husband and I spent the day with the Dannells family last Friday at Lake Wenatchee. I'm sure Ruhiyyih will be posting her pics. You can see mine by clicking on my name, then Shutterblog, then look for the Lake Wenatchee Camp Out link. The four Dannells siblings are such a kick to be around. You can see a whole series of images I shot of them at our church's bar-b-q also. You'll see that link in my latest blog entry.

Blessings to you and your family.

Kathy
