Remember yesterday when I mentioned how much Lily enjoys her "paintings"? Here are the photos I took. Now, it should be mentioned that most of the time when Lil sees a camera or lens she turns away immediately. She didn't even notice I had the camera trained on her.
Isn't she so so sweet? She took such pleasure in those wings and painting. :o)
Next, photos from CW last night:
Lily was VERY tired when it was time to leave. Jessie was carrying a snoozing Gabriel so we loaded Lil into the infant seat and low and behold, she still fit! Who's all kicked back?

Brien, Lily and I were supposed to go to Richmond this evening to help Kelsey celebrate her 12th birthday. B was to be home by 5:00 and we would hit the road and be there by 6:00. Brien has been busy with a conference the past few days and didn't get to leave work before 5:15. To add insult to injury there were four accidents on the interstate and a raging thunderstorm with hail. Needless to say, Kels had to celebrate without us. :o(
Woli and the kids came over to the house this evening so Jess could finish her hair and as Brien had had such a horrible afternoon, they agreed to watch Lil so I could take B to dinner and buy him a LARGE beer. Well, Lily hadn't napped today, after getting up WAY too early this morning after her late night last night. Jessie had a terrible time getting her to bed, dealing with the Jekell/Hyde child Lil is when overtired.
Thankfully, as of now, all children are tucked in and sleeping soundly and we adults are having some fun with Fail Blog, brought to you by the same folks as I Can Has Cheezburger. A word of caution, although the site has us all laughing our hineys off, it has quite a bit of slightly off-color/adult humor. It's totally worth it, though. My abs hurt from all the laughing! :oD

Today's Sparklies:
1. Yet another frog trail up my storm door. Look at the frog body prints. :o)
2. Dinner out with B.
3. All the laundry has been done--again. Whew!
4. The thunderstorm this afternoon brought with it cooler temps, if only for a while.
5. Fail blog. hee hee!

Rach, Brianna and Caleb arrive tomorrow for a playdate and I'm really looking forward to seeing them. :o) I'm off to play on the Fail Blog with B and Jessie! :o)

I am so glad that you and B were able to get out for a date night! I am sure it was needed!
Love those pictures!! Lily painting is so sweet and the two gilrs together climbing is so cute. I love the one of just their legs/feet. I also love the froggy trails on the windows :) Hugs.
I love the pictures! I really like the one of the girls feet on the fence. There is nothing sweeter than pictures of kiddos feet.
When we were up in West Virginia over July 4th the weather was so nice I told my husband that I would move up there just to escape the Texas heat but everyone told me that the weather that week was unseasonably cool. I enjoyed it so much and the mountains were just so peaceful. We wore jeans and T-shirts during the day and at night we needed a lightweight jacket, that doesn't happen in Texas.(HaHa)
Have a great day tomorrow.
Hugs from Texas - Stephanie
Love the pictures!! Please tell me about Lily's paints are you not concerned about your carpet or are they the Color Wonder paints? Just wondering....
Thank you for posting that link. I really needed a good laugh tonight, and I laughed so hard I was crying
Hugs
I love the pics, and the fail blog is to funny, I looked at some of them.
Love & Hugs,
Jennifer
Sheri, they are regular watercolors, but we use them on the kitchen linoleum. Besides, my carpets are absolute CRAP so a little color on them might do them a world of wonder...;o)
Hi Rachel!
I don't stop by as often as I used to, but I think of you and your family often. There are so many things that make me think of Hannah. I'm so glad your Heaven Day was everything you hoped it would be.
Love, Velvia
The prints of the frog are so awesome!!! How cool is that!!! I also love the ones of the girls bare feet! You have some talent in the picture taking dept as well...pass some along my way eh? :)
LOL
Glad you are having a great visit! HUgs!
Hi! I'm a fairly new reader to your blog and just wanted to say an official hello...and let you know I've given you a little award! You can see it over at my blog. Thanks for your great blog and for sharing your life with everyone. I truly admire you and wish you nothing but the best for you and your family. Anyway... take care!
brattt :o)
I just love all these pictures Rachel. Lily painting with her wings on is precious. Love the girls feet on the fence too. And you & Lily, how much you look alike. She really is a little artist, and she looks so "into" her work and peaceful. Kinda like her mommy too.:) So glad you got a date night with your sweetie. You are the only person in this whole wide world that has captured frog body prints in condensation. They must have some super glue suction on those feet. I wish I had frogs here. I am so thankful your home has been filled with such wonderful company this past week, how refreshing for the soul. I am so proud of you Rachel and Brien. You guys are the best!!!
Love and Hugs, Laurie in Ca.
I love how involved Lil is in the painting and the wings are just a nice added touch!
I'm glad that at least B got to have a nice large, cold beer, I hope work gets better for him soon. He looked quite exhausted this weekend.
De-lurking (I've been reading for over a year) to say that I love the picture of the frog body prints. So cute. Not as cute and Lil and her paints though.
Wonderful pics, especially those of Lily painting with her wings on! I really love the frog body printstoo - very cool!
