Hi all! I'm probably going to be missing for a couple of days as I work to finish up the end of the year items that have yet to be completed--ahem grading ahem. I'm all caught up except for those darn tests and well, procrastination will only get you so far.
I'm also utterly and completely pooped. I'm not sure why, maybe the grey weather...
We've got our "Living Wax Museum" presentations tomorrow--the kids selected a person to "be", wrote a brief bio for them, memorized it, and will be presenting it to people as they walk by. They are to be frozen until someone pushes their "button". They will then give their speech and return to their "frozen" position. This should be LOADS of fun, but it's been exhausting getting here, that's for sure.
The end of the year looms ever closer. Eek!
In other news, my friend Cathy lost her mom this weekend and my friend, Megan, has most likely had her baby. Megan's baby was about 2 pounds at last ultra sound so any prayers and positive thoughts for her and her baby would be greatly appreciated. She made it to almost 30 weeks, which is about six weeks longer than expected. Oh how I hope all is well. I'll keep you posted.
For now, I'm off to play with my Bit and get to work on that stack of papers. I'll catch you all in a few days! :o)

The Living Wax Museum should be so great. Wish I could push some buttons. I will be praying for Cathy for the loss of her mom and for Megan and her baby. You know my heart for babies, and I will be on it in prayer Rachel. Praying for extra energy for you to make it through the end of the school work. Then it's summer vacation for you, hooray!! Love you Rachel and praying Brien is getting better each day.
Love and Hugs, Laurie
We'll miss you!
I love the Living Wax Museum idea! How fun is that!
I will be praying for both your friends!
We just did our Egyptian Wax Museums last week. Each student had to research a god or goddess (at school) and write a speech (school). Then they were expected to memorize the speech (home) and prepare a costume (home). It was a HUGE hit...and the kids were actively engaged in learning. I love it - do it every year :)
Good luck with it all Rach.
I do so hope the baby is ok.
Love,
Jane
Good luck Rachel! Anja
Please keep us posted on your friend Megan's baby! :)
So glad you're getting to the end of the school year. Hope you have a wonderful Summer. The Living Wax Museum sounds awesome! What a cool idea. I'll be praying for your friends.
Just wanted to say thanks for this blog. I don't think it occurs to you how much it might be helping and contributing to others.
Rachel, You dont know me....but I have been reading your blog for quite a while.....I think your Hannah was wonderful, a bright star in the world....I lost a child myself 28 years ago at the age of 1 year....So I completely understand your pain....you are doing so well....I know this blog helps many....I wish I had had a place like this to go when it was still fresh for me....I live in Charlottesville so Im not too far from you....I have a quick Stampin Up question....Do you still sell the 5 in 1 envelope template? If so how much is it and can I get one? Thanks so much, Jan
