Birthday With Nana

I was DELIGHTED to go to dinner with Nana and Pop this evening. We went to Carrabba's, a family favorite and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. In fact, we're only just getting in! Good thing B and Lil are off tomorrow, huh? :o)

Dinner was delicious and the company divine. Thank you, Nana, for sharing your day with us. :o)

Overheard after dinner, while Lil was snuggled in Nana's lap:
"If da baby is a girl, we should name her Jasmine. If da baby is a boy, we'll name him Aladin. If da baby is a monkey we'll name him Abu."

At which point Nan could no longer contain herself and began laughing. Yes, it's funny written out, but even more so when you hear Lily saying it so matter of factly following "If da baby is a boy...". It reminds me of Ella and Jessie having a kitten (or some such). Maybe I'm not explaining well enough about Jellybean? ;o)

Today's Sparklies:

1. I had the loveliest visit with Scottie today.
2. I had a student tell me he's asking for a Day-Timer for Christmas. I almost died on the spot. The thing is, if this fella were to get one, he would use it and use it well. He's the one who has the Tide-to-Go pen and first aid kit in his backpack, lol! This is one child who is ALWAYS prepared for any eventuality. :o)
3. Dinner with Nan and Pop.
4. Lordy that Lil is a silly girl! She continually says things that have us in stitches. ;o)

No milestones.

Well, B and Lil may have tomorrow off, but I don't. So, I'm off to hit the hay. Wishing you all fantabulous Wednesday. :o)

If da baby is a bean, it is pear.

Sorry, I know that you are hoping for cinnamon, but I couldn't resist.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm so covered in glitter that it looks like I was working the teen sparkle powder a bit too much.

'Night.

LOL, Amy. Pear indeed. :oP

Are you turning into a vampire with the sparkles there? ;o) Sounds like Hannah heaven, actually. :o)

No, not a kitty with Ella. We were in the car with Siriwan and we were talking about how the baby could be a boy or girl, either sex would be welcome. The prospect of another brother was so displeasing to Miss E that she exclaimed in excitement, "Maybe it will be a puppy!", clearly a better alternative in her mind. :-)

Long time no comment from me . . . but tonight Portia's bedtime story request was "Fancy Nancy" . . . so we read it together with Hannah in our hearts and that has prompted me to leave you a note here!

Lily is a cutie-patootie! Love the things she thinks to say. Has she ordered more than one baby yet? When people asked Portia if she wanted our baby to be a boy or girl, her response was: "Well, if it is a boy this time then we'll have another girl next time and if it is a girl this time then we'll have another boy next time!" She's still planning another pregnancy for us as our family isn't 'even Steven' so we have to have another baby!

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the autumn season . . . but from what I know of you, you love every season! Thank you for your fantastic outlook on life!

Take care,
from

Every time you mention a restaurant I wind up looking up the menu on the Internet and contemplating what I would order. Never mind that I live in Northern NJ.

I love the character names for the kids!
