Because I Couldn't Resist

Okay, how much do you love this face?  Look at it!  How could you not adore it?  There's such joy and happiness in that little face. :o)

This morning, Ellie was in such a chipper mood, I had to snap a few photos.  Well, that, and I was trying desperately to get some photos of her wild 'n crazy hair. The faces she was making made it nearly impossible for me to stop snapping photos, or to not post them all.

We discovered blueberries are her most favorite food EVER.  At least, until tomorrow when she turns her nose up at them and screeches at me when I put them on her tray...;o)

She also adores tuna casserole, and has yet to turn her nose up at it.  She's had it for dinner Monday, lunch and dinner Tuesday, and lunch and dinner Wednesday.

She sees me with the camera and she immediately turns on the faces now.  With my Nikon (whom I miss, but can't seem to pull out to use), she couldn't see me since I was looking through the view finder.  With the new camera, I look at the screen on the back as there is no view finder.  She starts making faces at me and I can't stop laughing. :o)

Look at how she wrinkles up that nose!

Ah, here you go, the crazy hair.  It seems so strange to think she used to have hair that looked like this and then this

From super dark, stands up all over to light and lying down to:

coming in blonde and standing up all over her little head once more.  ;o) Oh, and let's not forgot all the crazy long pieces. :oP

(Yes, yes, this one's fuzzy, but what a face!)

Ah, yes, the crazy long pieces of hair in evidence.

Oh, and this one?  Taken at lunch today.  She grabbed a pretzel stick and looked so stinkin' funny I had to snap a quick shot. :o)

I'm feeling much better today.  I guess I was just "off" yesterday.  I've been a real bear the last few days.  In fact, I was surprised Brien even came home last night I was so awful to him.  I know if I knew I was facing me, I'd have run far and fast in the other direction.  Ugh.  I know I'm being miserable to be around, yet I can't seem to help myself.  It's awful and I hate it. :o(

**************************
Today's Sparklies:

1.  Feeling better.
2.  The ice encrusted branches this morning.  Is there anything more beautiful than lightly iced trees shining in the morning sun?
3.  Happy, funny Ellie!
4.  Brien.  Thank you.  Just thank you.
5.  Lil who still manages to smile and be utterly adorable, even when I'm at my impatient worst.  She takes it, and then, gives me hugs and tells me it's okay when I apologize.  :sigh: What a kiddo.
6.  Hooray!  The estimate to fix the car is LESS than the total value of the car so there is no longer any fear of it being totaled. :o)
7.  Comfort food in the form of sausage gravy over biscuits and cheesy scrambled eggs for dinner.  I don't even WANT to know the calorie count...I needed it and it was good.  That's all there is to it.  And, boy was it GOOOOOOOOOD.  Mm.  Homemade sausage gravy over homemade biscuits?  Heaven.  I don't think the "rocking chair store" could have done any better.

No milestones.

*****ETA*****
Let's please keep those in the horrible flooding in Australia in our thoughts and prayers.  Those of you who are blog readers from Australia, please let me know you are okay.  I've been worried about you.

I am sorry, I meant to comment last night. You mentioned Splode so I ran off to try and of course became addicted. :) thanks for the tip. I am glad you are doing better today. Ellie is adorable!!! Love her sweet little face. Your comfort food sounds SO good! I am in a snit today. I asked Ryan to bring home a big cheesy pizza. :)

I love the phase where they know that they are supposed to smile, but think that their eyes are supposed to be closed.

Love the photos. E-mailed about all the rest.

Sleep well!

How could you not love that face. She sounds like such a good eater...I love blueberries too :) I'm here to listen if you need to chat. It's hard when you feel grumpy and then you're grumpy about feeling grumpy...does that make sense. I'm just an email away. Ooh, comfort food. I had potato soup at a friends tonight and it was SO good...and I'm SO full. Feel better.

Loved, loved, loved the photos. I thought I saw some of her sisters in a couple of the pictures. :) She is just adorable.

Loved your sparklies list tonight especially.

I'm glad you're feeling better. :) And guess what Rach? Can we say FOUR DAYS?!?!? Unbelievable, but we are out again tomorrow. Rob is going to drive me to school and walk me in (we heard the roads were okay but the parking & bus lots were pure ice sheets) and then go on to his school; we'll put in a few hours and go home to play a game/watch a movie and just be with our kids some more.

Hugs!!!

Hi Rach,

I'm fine. I live in Melbourne which is at the southern end (east coast). We have rain but we are not in epic flood like Queensland which is up north (east coast). It's quite amazing that 2 years ago almost to the day, was the worst bushfires in our history (and they were down South near me)...and now the worst floods...

Thank you for thinking of us.

Love,

Jane

Oh Rach she's beautiful! I just got caught up, been busy, and am so glad you keep up with blogging better than I do. I'm hoping to post an update today! I'm so sorry about B's accident, still dealing with that on this end. Ugh.
I made your cream cheese mints with my Hannah, in honor of yours, and they were a big hit. :-)

Wow, just amazing what a difference there is from 8 months ago.

Hang in there, I've been trying to keep my grumpy self from snapping at Greyson lately but have not always managed to succeed.

Hugs,

Kat

Aww what a cutie Ellie is...and those blue eyes!

Glad you're feeling better from your funk :o)

I feel so bad for those in Queensland (Australia). It's been non stop news coverage here and everytime I see the damage and lives lost my heart sinks. I luckily live just outside of Sydney so no weather events hitting us here thankfully.
