The plan was to make some of these guys and have a nice visit.
We accomplished both. :o)
The girls seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
How could they not when there were copious amounts of candy to be consumed? That's part of the fun of making gingerbread houses, isn't it?
There is so much to share but it will have to wait because there are so many things to do right now--get the girls fed, bathed and put to bed, unpack, clean up, and so on. We took the scenic routes home and it took close to six hours (plus an additional thirty minutes for a lunch pit stop) to get home. I'm happy to report this may have been the Bean's best road trip EVER. :o)
I'll share more tomorrow. For such a short weekend, we sure packed it in!

Fisbee Watch
It didn't seem to bother him in the least to have all the blood rushing to his head.
Saturday we weren't here, but Pop caught him chillin' in Lil's stocking (I'll have to post the photo he texted me).
And then, when we arrived home this evening, we found the little stinker palling around with the reindeer. I suppose the two of them are good friends, hailing from the same place and all. ;o)
Now, the question is, where will Mr. Fisb show up tomorrow...

Weekend Sparklies:
1. A lovely trip into town. There's nothing like traveling to the 'burg on a non-home game weekend. (Let's not talk about that travesty of a game, shall we? Where was my team? Did they stay put in the 'burg and send some lookalikes to play for them? UGH!)
2. Having such a long visit with GG and Bill. We typically only get to visit for a couple of hours before we have to race off. But, since we were staying with them, we had a much longer visit.
3. Making my first gingerbread house. Yes, my name is Rachael, I'm 35, and I only just created my first gingerbread house. And it was FUN!
4. Visiting with Uncle Glen. He was in town for a robotics something or other down in the extreme western part of the state. Instead of driving all the way back to Richmond, he stayed with GG and Bill and drove home this morning. Since he didn't make to GG's before 8:30 or so, that's probably a good thing.
5. A wonderful, soothing trip home. I truly do adore the back roads. You can really get the feel for an area when you drive them. Everyone has either put out, or were working on their Christmas decorations and it was delightful.
6. A clean house when we got home. I'm so glad I cleaned it before we left.
7. Sleeping in my own bed tonight. Visiting is wonderful, but really, there's nothing like your own bed. Ahhhhh.
No milestones.

Hokies, Hokies, Hokies. :( Well, at least there is a rumor of a great bowl game bid. That soothes the sting .... kind of. Glad you had such a great weekend. :)
Rach, what a fabulous weekend you seemed to have had. we can't wait to hear the rest of it! Oh.... wanted to let you know that Fisbee has a friend who arrived at our house yesterday, and he must have the same mischief streak Fisbee. Oh... and his name is buzzbee. I'm planning to share a couple of pictures of his antics on my blog starting tomorrow!
big hugs
Jaydee
I don't a fisbee of my own. i wish i would have thought of the idea long ago. my cousin posts her pictures daily of her little elf and last night he got into the mini marshmallows and left a trail of them and was half in the bag. don't know if that is something you would want to do but it's a cute idea.
What a fun weekend! LOVE the gingerbread house! The pictures of the girls are completely precious.
