95 mounds candies
48 cream cheese mints
1 1/2 batches of trash
Anything that had to be dipped in chocolate got made yesterday and the rest of the melted chocolate was used to make the trash.
"Reverse angle shot" (in honor of Papa). Lil and I will be making ginger cookies this afternoon (and refilled Pop's Charles Chips can for him). Tomorrow Bean and I will make a couple batches of the mint fondant we make around here, and Tuesday we'll make java shortbread. Mm.
Then, next week I'll make Noel balls and a fresh batch of ginger cookies. So much baking. Whew. I love to do it, I really do, but boy am I tired today.
Jessie and her gang are supposed to come down Wednesday. I bribed her to come and cut my hair. In exchange, she'll get her Christmas goodies, a floofy wreath and I'll help her make four dozen cookies for her cookie exchange. I figure I'm still coming out ahead since I want her to cut Beanie's hair...;oP
I've come up with three card designs now and have cut the paper for them. I have one more card to design and that's finished. I'm hoping to get to that after the girls go to bed tonight.
I also still want to make gift tags and I need to wrap the presents. I'm going very simple this year with kraft paper and red and white ribbon. I hope it looks as fabulous as I think it will. :fingers crossed:

Fisbee Watch
No naughtiness or mayhem last night. I suppose even Fisbee takes a day of rest for the Sabbath. :o) *********************************
Weekend Sparklies:
1. Candy making getting done.
2. Lil and her fellow "little angels" were so sweet at pageant practice yesterday.
3. Lil had fun at Sydney's party yesterday.
4. Card parts and pieces cut out and ready to assemble.
5. Time at home with my family.
No milestones.

I am drooling, and wish I lived next door! Everything looks so delish! I love seeing all of your fun treats each year. I think your wrapping paper sounds adorable! I can't believe how fast Christmas is coming! Love Fisbee with Baby Jesus very sweet, tell Lil she did a fab job on the scarf and blankie. :)
Wow,its amazing how much you get done and how organized you are with 2 little girls! Looks beautiful
Whoa baby...look at all of your hard work. I'll be right over to pick up my package...lol. I am excited about your cards. I am going to be a busy bee this week. Sweet Fisbee!
How we are sisters absolutely confounds me.
I can't wait to EAT all these treats! Being family has definite perks!
Dang, Girl. I do not know how you do it all, Rach, but your baked goods look delicious and beautiful. The fact that you're making cards and tags by hand too boot just floors me. Have you thought of putting Martha Stewart out of business? I mean it. Your foods and crafts are just as lovely, way more practical, and you're FOR REAL. (You know she's not doing all of that gardening and such herself. She must have "her people.") Plus, you have no criminal record that I know of, either, so that gives you an automatic leg up. :)
I saw this post go up earlier and immediately whipped up a batch of easy fudge! It was so fun :)
The treats look amazing. SO glad you had fun family time this weekend :)
I was thinking of you today with smiles as I made up a batch of the Mounds candy- only we made ours Almond Joys. So love that recipe and so thankful you shared it with me. Yum, Yum!!! My daughter has started baking cookies for our treat trays we give out, and I have so much baking to do by next weekend!!! Plus school and craft club and on and on and on....
Anywhooo, just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and sending you some love from NC!!!
Maybe it is an Ohio thing, but are they called Mounds candy everywhere else and Buckeyes here? :slurp: Yum!
What lovely photos of deliciousness. That is a serious amount of dipping. Geeze o' Pete, girl!
No naughtiness out of Fisbee? What is K- to do? I have to tell you that she races to the computer to see what Fisbee has been up to. How she delights in the goofy things he does. I think her favorite is the candy dish episode. My o' my number 5's.
I've yet to share the e-mail you sent for her. She'll be so excited, as she asked if you had commented back. (Who knew?)
Hi Heather; just wanted to say that your blog is part of my daily routine. Thank you for writing about your life. I enjoy it. Merry Christmas and all the best for 2012. Anja (Ontario, Canada).
