Snoozin' Holly.
Snoozin' Fred.
Holly changed positions.
The baby is napping. The trees are lit. The mulling spices are simmering. The Pandora "White Christmas" station is playing. All is peaceful and wonderful.
I'm off to work up some Christmas card designs. I came up with two last night--you can check them out over here--and still need a couple more.
I'll leave you with this video of Ellie from yesterday:
Boy she's growing up quickly.

Fisbee Watch
Ah, so this is why he made those preacher cookies for yesterday. He wanted to get into the oatmeal last night. What a mess!******************************
Today's Sparklies:
1. Check out Lil's writing from last night's homework:
I was impressed. :o)
2. Ellie playing in the kitchen.
She was pouring milk, cracking eggs and whisking. Made me smile very big. :o)
3. All the peaceful sleeping going on around here. It truly was a lovely day.
4. Thank you for the sweet compliments on my wreath. :o)
5. It's finally cool around here again. A massive cold front quite literally blasted in last night. Whew! Talk about wind and rain!
6. The woodpecker on the bird feeder this morning. What a fantastic gift that was.
7. Making time for me to work in the offudio and get some cards made. I need to do that more. I always say that, but then don't. Well, now I DO mean it.
No milestones.

This was obviously written earlier today, before the chaos that occurred in Blacksburg. I just don't understand. Blacksburg is such a safe place, it really is. How these things keep happening confounds me. My prayers for all in Blacksburg, especially those on the Tech campus and those affected by this man's actions. Prayers especially for the family of the policeman who was killed.

Your critters all look cozy! Ellie's hair has grown a TON! I love her little giggle while she is playing. :)
SO sad about V Tech. It's all so senseless and tragic. The school is still recovering, and now this.
I need the wreath AND preacher cookies as payment for travel and hair cut. Just sayin'!
:-)
Now you're just getting demanding! ;o)
I thought of you when the announcement about the shooting came across my TV.
I cannot get enough of your Fisbee Watch, Rach. I LOVE that little imp.
Also, the Elf Yourself videos from below crack me up. Grace's pacifier is priceless, and I love all of the wonderful facial expressions on each and every kiddo. Sometimes I caught myself giggling because I could actually picture Lily and Ella doing some of those prancing moves in real life. :)
Rach, all is calm, all is bright.... were the words that my brain was singing when I read the first part of your post. Christmas season perfection.
I have to tell you that the first thought that went through my head when I saw the news about VTech... was you. So senseless. As you said, prayers, too, especially for the family of the policeman.
Hugs
Jaydee
Having been on the road for two weeks, I am a bit homesick. Your blog keeps me going. I love all that you have done to make your house festive.
Good ole Fisby. He is quite the trickster.
Smooch.
Mom AKA Lissie
Snoozing Holly looks JUST like our Boo. So cozy.
I don't do much decorating so I am enjoying seeing yours!
