A Whirlwind Visit

Jessie and the kiddos arrived at dinner time last night and left right before lunch this afternoon.  We managed to pack a LOT of activity into the short space of time.
  • Beanie learned this trick from her sister.  I do believe this is her theme song.
  • Ellie got her first haircut.
  •  Lily had Jessie chop her hair off.  She decided she was tired of all the pulling and snarling and snagging and hair being pulled back.  I think it looks fabulous!
  • Brien got a haircut.
  • I got a cut and foil.  YES!
  • Ellie was up six times between midnight and 3:30--I'm a bit beat today.
  • The kids all played.  Lots.  And lots.
  • I made 65 java shortbread cookies for Jessie's cookie exchange.
  • I played with Ella, Gabriel and Ellie while Jess shopped.
  • The kids and I ran Lil's lunchbox to her in time for lunch (Lil and I forgot it this morning.  Oops!)
  • We cleaned up the playroom.
They left and I collapsed in a heap of tired.  It was SO good to see them, but boy am I ready to crash (I think it has something to do with sharing a bed with Lil and only getting about 2 1/2 hours' sleep.)

Tomorrow I'll make another wreath (I sent Jess home with mine) and work on cards.  I'd dearly love to have a pajama day, but, alas, I have to take Lil to the bus stop.  Oh, and we have pageant practice tomorrow night.  And then, we have a party Saturday.  I think I would like to collapse into a quivering heap of nothing instead of all that.  ;o)

Yesterday's devotional reading talked about finding peace in the middle of chaos.  I need to work on finding that peace.

Our boy decided to chillax a bit in the Christmas tree last night.  :o)  I think all that ropin' and ridin' and costume makin' plum tuckered him out the night before. ;o)

Today's Sparklies:

They're all up there, I promise.  I'm ready to sit and watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas" with my girl. :o)
