This morning started out dicey. Ellie began the day with dry heaves and then such hunger she could hardly stand it. She screamed and screeched when I told her no milk so, against my better judgement, I caved. Yeah, bad idea that. :oS Within ten minutes of guzzling half a sippy of milk, and snarfing a bunch of Crispix, the child was leaning over the side of her high chair, being sick all over again. I knew better, and blamed myself. I wouldn't let her having anything other than bland food items and clear liquid for the rest of the day.
She spent the majority of the day in my lap. I cuddled and snuggled and managed to get some lunch made for us--green monster for me, plain pasta and red jello for her--and cuddled some more. I was trying to keep her awake so we could get Lil off the bus around 1:30. She made it to 1:00. Drat. I carried her sleeping form to the bus stop and back--she never even stirred--but the minute I put her in her crib, she awoke. Super. A one hour nap...when she's sick.
She was better this afternoon, running around and playing and had more pasta and some peas for dinner. I do believe the crisis has passed and I'm now waiting for the rest of us to come down with it. Goody! :eye roll:
Meanwhile, Lil is as hale and hardy as can be with no signs of anything sick related. I'm wondering if Beanie's illness is what Lil had, only Lil was able to monitor her food intake so she didn't become ill. I rather hope so because that means Lily has already had it and that would be one less family member to get it.
Brien had to work late today and still isn't home. Because I had Beanie on my lap most of the day, very little was done with regards to housekeeping so the kitchen is a wreck. I want to get that done before he gets in...never mind, he just walked in.
But, the kitchen still needs to be cleaned and Lil's lunch needs to be packed. Much excitement for my evening, no?

Poor Beanie! Poor Mommy! I really am praying you avoid the crud. Oh, there's nothing I hate worse than the stomach flu. :(

I hope things are moving in the right direction. There is nothing more gross than kid vomit in the car...muy sympathy to you on that one. I hopoe this is something that bypasses the adults.
Also, I'm enjoying your pictures from your morning walks. Great job and keep it up!!
Rach, catching up and read today's post before this one..... I was wondering have you tried almond milk or soy milk instead? Especially the chocolate flavored ones
