A Light Snack?

Last Friday, I had set out two and a half sticks of butter to soften.  I left them on the counter, as I always have.

When I looked back at the counter three hours later, there was a stick of butter missing.

Oh. My. Stars.

I searched high and low but couldn't find it.  I knew the culprit was under 3' tall and had to have pushed the step stool over to the counter to grab it.  The question was, where had she put it?

I had assumed I would find it intact.
Alas, that was not the case.

:shudder:

In case you are wondering, those are in fact Beanie marks in that butter.  I would recognize the gap between the upper teeth anywhere.  The striations are from those über sharp baby teeth she's sporting these days.

It would seem she had quite the snack.  (*gag*)

Lil has never been one to eat globs of butter, however, Hannah was another story.  You may recall the tale of Hannah and the snack?  What, you don't?  Well, let me remind you.

She was about two and a half of so and she and Brien were watching a movie.  She turned to B and said, "Daddy, may I have a snack?"  Brien told her should could and she ran off to the kitchen.  She returned a few minutes later, a stick of butter in each had.  One stick already had bites taken out of it.  The other she handed to Brien and said, "Here, Daddy, I got you a snack too!"

The Bean, it would seem is a bit more selfish than her sister. ;o)

Weekend Sparklies:

1.  It's been gorgeous the past two days and Lil has spent hours outside.  She's playing with Sadie yet again today.
2.  Religious ed was wonderful this morning.
3.  Feeling a wee smidge better.  I was so ill yesterday I spent the day in bed.  On the bright side, I read three books. ;o)
4.  While I was sick, B cleaned the kitchen--twice.  Thank you, sweetie!
5.  I got the grocery shopping done after class today instead of having to go out to do it tomorrow.  Yay!

No milestones.  Buuuut, boy did that stick of butter remind me of another girlie of mine.
