This morning, when Father Pete asked what was new, Lil, of course, had to share about her tooth. This is exciting stuff, folks! :o) Father asked about the Tooth Fairy and putting the tooth under her pillow and Lil had to give him the long story about not putting teeth under pillows because the Tooth Fairy might wake her up--which he then had to share with the entire congregation. Of course. Oy. I had a couple of the mamas looking at me with winks and grins, so obviously they approved. I almost forgot--Father asked Lil if I had pulled her tooth and she said that no, she had done it. He looked over to B for confirmation, lol! :o) I really do love our parish--it's full of such wonderful people and is so so so child-friendly. :o)
Then, this afternoon, this happened:
Holy smokes! That second top tooth was loose, and I figured it would come out some time this week, but not this soon! I accidentally hit her in the mouth last night (she sort of ran into me) and then, at church today, another adult ran into her mouth and that tooth was just barely hanging on. Oh how I LOVE listening to her talk right now. ;o) I'm definitely going to have to video her speaking. :oP
The rest of the weekend was rather uneventful. We did taxes yesterday and watched Mattie and Zoey for Nana and Pop. And now, we're watching the Super Bowl commercials. Oh, was I supposed to say watching the game? Do people actually watch the game for the game? ;oP I guess I'm really just a college ball girl, what can I say. I am pulling for a team, but well, didn't we see this game back in 2008? Hm.
To those of you who left suggestions for ways to deal with Miss Biter Beanie, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm so disgruntled and grateful she's home with me and not in daycare doing this. I'll keep you posted on what we do and how it works.

Sparklies:
1. I forgot to share this when he did it last Saturday.
B shaved his goatee! He hasn't been without facial hair in six years. Lil had a really hard time with it. Beanie, notsomuch. Go figure.
2. Dinner of stir fried sesame tofu. This was good.
3. A wonderful day at church. I love going and visiting and teaching religious ed and listening to Father and the fellowship of it all.
4. Brien made chili for dinner--and cleaned the kitchen and everything!
5. Nan and Pop brought us a couple bags of meatballs from IKEA. Hooray!
6. Enjoying some of the commercials this evening. There have been some really funny ones.
No milestones.

Lily is just too, too cute. And her personality matches.

I love her face with no teeth...that's one of my favorite times! That is a big change for Brien. I remember when I first cut my hair the kids had to get used to it. He looks dashing :) And high five to him for dinner AND cleaning up. I'm watching the game with Ron...he's a HUGE Giants fan.
That is the best missing tooth grin ever! :)
cute cute cute!! That goes for Lil too....ha ha!!

I think B looks great without his goatee. Oh.... and reading about loose teeth and wiggling them out... oh... that made my toes curl. And it sounds like you and members of the congregation helped that process along :-) Seriously, though, isn't it wonderful to have a Father who is so connected to his congregation? Love it.
Hugs

btw... lovely looking dinner you had!
Didn't get to share the photo with K- before bed, but I'll share it with her tomorrow. Yes, our tooth was just hanging in there, too. She called me while I was entering the hospital parking deck to let me know that it came out. Aunt Donna sure was happy to hear about that!
The tofu thing? Um, do share. Well, not that there are leftovers, but I'm saying, share what you did to all of it. I like tofu, but need to maybe have a tofu festival on the blog. Maybe I'd get one submission? Sesame Tofu, perhaps? ;)
