My Little Artist

Miss Bean loves and adores her big sister.  She is also very like her in many ways, one of the biggest being her love of coloring and drawing.  Lil loved (still does, as a matter of fact) to watercolor and simply color.

Miss Ellie is just the same.  (Anyone else see a likeness to Agnes from "Despicable Me" in this photo?)

She prefers markers, but I can't allow her to use those without a bit of help and supervision.  She has a tendency to color herself as much as the paper.

Crayons, however, I'm good to go with.  Sure, she chomps on them (what doesn't the child gnaw on?), but hey, what's a little wax, right?  ;oP

She climbs right on the bench and gets to work.

And, she can be rather intense about it.  She's really working on learning her colors right now (and announcing them just as loud as she can in the middle of mass as she picks out clothing colors all around us) and will hold up a crayon and say the color she believes it to be.  I'd say she's right roughly 75% of the time.  She's determined to learn those colors--we're not pushing it, she is!

The crayon basket was a bit far to reach, see?  I love having her in the kitchen with me when I'm cooking--I can keep an eye on Her Mischievousness.

This is the part that drives Lil battiest.  She's fine sharing a coloring book and paper and coloring with Beanie, but the minute the teeny one climbs on the table, she loses it.  I wonder why...  Poor long suffering Bitty.  ;o)

Sparklies:

1.  Morning photos:
It was very sunny and rather cold this morning when we started out.  Yes, she wore the glasses for our entire walk.

The frost was beginning to melt here, dropping off leaves and branches overhead.

Still plenty frosty here, though.

Frost everywhere along the wood made the walk across the bridges rather slickery.

There was even a bit of ice on the wetlands this morning.
2.  Getting out for a walk.
3.  The sun is shining after much grey this weekend.
4.  Many of last night's commercials.
5.  I didn't really choose sides for the game, mostly enjoyed watching a fun ball game that came down to the last seconds.  I LOVE that when it's not MY team playing. ;o)
6.  Chicken burgers for dinner--I can't wait!  Mm.
7.  I absolutely meant to share this yesterday but forgot.  Anyone else out there love the movie "Babe" as much as I?  Well, here's a herding bitty bunny:

And, here's a blog with a bit more info on Mr. Cutie Bunn.

8.  Dani is stateside and we had the loveliest chat--in the same time zone! :o)

No milestones.

Rach, once again a visit to your blog made me smile, oooo and awww and laugh. I love the pics of the very cool bean ready for her walk this morning. Her intensity in coloring reminds me of me at that age. (Or that's what my mother told me anyway!) Mind you, I didn't say colors aloud in Church as far as I can remember :-)
Gorgeous pics of your walk and the frost!
Then... CHampis the rabbit. I've spent a lot of time watching dogs herd sheep...... never as well as Champis! Thanks so much for sharing
Hugs

With all that concentration, my question is-- does she have her tongue sticking out? I didn't look close enough.

Color wonder markers and paper only mark on the paper, I bet Beanie would love them!

She looks like such a big girl coloring like that. I love her stretched across the table. The sunglasses and the bink are just adorable. I think you have more frost than we do :) We played outside a little yesterday and I loved it.
