Furlough Funnies

Clicking will embiggen to make reading a bit easier.
What better way to ease the stress of the sequester than to make fun of it?  If furloughs are going happen, they're going to happen.  Why not have a little fun with it?

Brien was sent these at work today.  He sent them on to me and I had a good laugh.  I wish I knew where to find them so we could purchase something.  I can say I haven't taken a good look for them, I'm sure I could find them if I really wanted to.

The "Nonessential" one is one of my favorites.  I'm also a fan of "Furlough Fridays". Oh, and "The person in charge of that is on furlough..." ha!

I'm becoming rather fatalistic at this point.  If it's going to happen, it's going to happen and we'll make the best of it.

Sparklies:

1.  Pop sent this Red Skelton clip today.  It's quite beautiful and moving given the mess our government is making of things right now.
2.  We were the walking brigade in CW this morning--all seven of us. ;o)
3.  It was actually sunny this morning for the walk.  It was lovely.
4.  The 9:30 cut-off for screen time really seems to be working for me.  I'm falling asleep more easily and sleeping more soundly.  I'm in bed by 10:00 and typically out by 10:15 or 10:30.  Preferentially I'm a night owl, but given I'm getting up at 5:45, this sleeping thing is fabulous.
5.  Wreath ideas are swirling through my head.  And card ideas.  Who's got the tool to extend the day so I have time to do all I want to and all I need to do?  :oP

No milestones.

You're good to try and keep your sense of humor! Good luck and here's hoping it doesn't drag on too long.

[Please ignore/delete if this is a repeat - I think there was an issue with my Google sign in, but I'm not sure!]

Hi there - I've commented a time or two, but not much. However, I am an ever-faithful reader!!

Anyway, I HAD to comment because this is all effecting me as well. I work for an Army research installation in Natick, Mass and, well...you know. I am with you though, whatever is going to happen will happen and there is not much at this point I can do. I will budget out my last remaining full pay checks and try to figure out what to do with 20% less. I will say that I had resigned myself to being as okay as I could with the whole thing, until I watched the news this morning and saw the empty congressional chambers and headline "Congress leaves for long weekend with no sequestration plan in sight." GRRRR.

I tried to leave a comment the other day but Google/Blogger and I had a disagreement and my comment went away. :( Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you all and praying for you!

Much love from NC!
